One of the most successful and super-duper commercially successful films of this duo was “Nishan”. The film ran in theatres continuously for more than a year. “Chupi Chupi Bolo Keu Jene Jabe”, a song from “Nishan”, remains popular even today.

Ilias Javed, who enjoyed a distinguished career spanning more than five decades as a popular film actor and accomplished dance director, passed away on Wednesday after a prolonged battle with cancer. His death was confirmed by his wife, actress Dolly Chowdhury.

Veteran Bangladeshi film actor Ilias Javed passed away today at around 12:00pm at his residence in Uttara. He had been suffering from illness for a long time. His death was confirmed to The Daily Star by Apurba Rana, joint secretary general of the Bangladesh Film Directors’ Association.
