Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) directs operators to block all roaming SIMs if their customers fail to biometrically re-register their connection within seven days from the date of their arrival .

Tarana Halim, state minister for post and telecommunication, says 3.30 crore SIMs (subscriber identity module) are yet to be re-registered although the deadline expires Tuesday.
