Artistes perform during the second and final day of the World Music Day festival at Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy in Dhaka on June 22. The two-day celebration featured performances spanning folk, contemporary, instrumental, and international musical traditions. Among those in attendance on the closing day were Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, Emran Saleh Prince, Zakir Hossain Rokan, Cultural Affairs Secretary Kaniz Moula, and Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy Director General Sheikh Rezauddin Ahmed.

The programme will be chaired by Cultural Affairs Secretary Kaniz Mowla. Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy Director General and poet Sheikh Rezauddin Ahmed will deliver the welcome address.

The Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy is set to organise a two-day music festival in Dhaka to celebrate World Music Day.

Renowned National Film Award-winning singer Fahmida Nabi has returned from the US and is actively working on new music. On the occasion of World Music Day, she released a heartfelt track titled “Bondhu Hariye Gelo”, composed by the late Borno Chakraborty and written by Anisuzzaman Jewel.
