Tales of Mere Existence

The times I come across internet treasures while lazily going through the web, are countless; the number of times I wanted to share them, though, are finite. I don't know what makes me like that; maybe it's the only-child syndrome catching on, which is why I rarely feel the need to share things with people -- now that bit of personal information was pretty unnecessary, but these are the exact things that “Tales of Mere Existence” is made of (the name says it all, really).
“Tales of Mere Existence” is a channel containing animated comic series created by filmmaker and artist, Levni Yilmaz. It features static cartoons that are continuously being drawn on the screen by an invisible hand playing out scenes from everyday life. The show contains anecdotes, discussions and observations on life, and the “Perpetual Identity Crisis” series of the channel really stands out.
We do not always find ourselves in the “self help” section of YouTube while looking for an answer to an existential crises (please, don't tell me that's just me) but Lev, through his series, portrays his take on these issues; though instead of trying to provide solutions he asks questions about whether something could possibly be a solution, or whether the problems have solutions at all.
Though Lev may come off as cynical, and in various ways he is, he still conveys a message that I find positive. He openly admits to trying to be cool and makes it seem fine and normal to attempt it while also unintentionally pointing out the importance of individuality. The videos are entertaining, and I find myself attracted to the raw honesty of the comics.
