THE FLASH
We were all waiting for The Flash to blow our minds; especially after that awesome trailer. Now that almost half of the first season is over, I think it's safe to say that it hasn't even remotely done that. For those who don't know, Barry Allen, a skilled forensic scientist with the Central City police department, is struck by lightning caused due to a malfunction in the particle accelerator built by Dr. Harrison Wells. He wakes up nine months later from a coma to see that he has super-speed. He uses his powers to fight crime in Central City.
The show has had a few almost-decent episodes but most are completely boring. Nothing you'll see in this show will seem original. Every episode comprises of some cheesy life-lessons, cheap jokes, awkward stammering, a new super-villain and the Flash coming out victorious in the end after someone has given him an inspirational speech. They suck at cliffhangers too because all of them are the same: Dr. Harrison Wells getting up from his wheel-chair and reading a holographic newspaper. Another thing that catches the eye is their desperate attempt to break stereotypes. The viewers have come to terms with the black Iris and it makes sense that Eddie's gym teacher is female.
If you try too hard and have got nothing else to do, you might just make yourself like the show. But, personally, I think it's a waste of time. I'd give it a 5 out of 10 and I'm being extremely generous.
