Photography is one of the fastest-developing art forms or hobbies in the country, and I'm sure most readers enjoy taking the occasional snapshot with their cellphones at the very least. To gain an idea of the level of skill we have attained, look no further than our centerfold where we report on the exhibition by the Photographic Society of BUET. Tired of the same old superhero stories? In page 10 we introduce Saga, a comic book that breaks the mould.
We all love the beach (well, I don't, I sunburn easily but that's beside the point). Sadly we are less than adept at caring for our beaches, and as we ruin one stretch of sand we move on to the next. The last idyll left unscarred is St Martin's Island, but for how long? Turn to page 11.
Remember the classic songs of the '80s and '90s? I try my best not to, but to do that I'd basically never have to go into a restaurant again. Restaurants in Dhaka seem to all share the same CDs; there are some songs that you will hear every time you dine out. Page 12 for more.
