Thick black smoke billows as a truck is torched by agitated locals in Rajshahi’s Puthiya upazila yesterday after a tailor, Akkas Ali, was struck and killed by the vehicle while crossing the Dhaka‑Rajshahi Highway. Locals blocked the highway for around two hours, during which this truck, along with another, was set ablaze. Police later arrived and brought the situation under control. Photo: Azahar Uddin
