Naogaon Jubo Dal leader murdered by 'outlaws'
Police and witnesses said a gang of youths wearing masks intercepted Ainul Haque alias Bhuttu, 28, at Rasulpur when he along with his friend was returning home in a motorcycle after appearing before a court in a case.
The youths numbering eight attacked him with sharp weapons and later slaughtered him.
After the killing, the outlaws left the place chanting slogans of Purba Bangla Communist Party.
However, an unidentified companion of the victim managed to flee.
Bhuttu is the son of Afsar Ali, a resident of Biharipur village under Sadar upazila.
Being informed, police recovered the body and sent it to Sadar hospital for autopsy.
Police said Bhuttu was accused in 12 cases filed with different police stations of the district.
