Tk 7.5 lakh snatched in Sylhet city

In another incident, miscreants on six motorbikes obstructed a private car and took away Tk five lakh from businessman Jainal Abedin, wielding pistols.

Sources claimed that the miscreants activists of Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD), student wing of ruling BNP and are known faces.

No case was filed as negotiations were going on for recovery of the amounts, the sources said.
