Smuggled sugar seized

Acting on a tip-off, a team of Gaibandha DB police chased the truck with 162 bags of sugar coming from Hili border and halted it on the Ghoraghat-Palashbari road.

Police seized the truck. The driver and some others on the vehicle fled away. The price of the sugar is about Tk 2,60,000, police said.
