Six pirates held from Kaptai lake

Police identified them as Jalal Mia and Abul Kalam of Islampur village in Nariarchar upazila; Motiur Rahman Polash, Abdullah and Shoikot Mia of Comilla Tila in Mohalchhari upazila in Khagrachhari district and Shubir Mia of Comilla.

The were caught while fleeing after snatching Tk 11,450 from timber trader Md Nowab Ali at Jibtoli on the Kaptai lake, Kotwali thana duty officer Rehana Akter said.

They were treated at Rangamati hospital for injuries from beating by the mob, she said.
