One dies, 20 hurt in Bagerhat clash

Police said the trouble started in the evening when the people of Hriderhat and Kandarpara clashed over holding a boat race in the Bhairab on the occasion of Durga Puja.

The dead was identified as Abdur Rashid,40, of Kandarpara village.

Eight of the injured were Yakub Sheikh, 23, Monsur Sheikh, 35, Kismat Ali, 45, Rafiqul, 38, Nazmul, 16, Maqbul, 18, Abdur Razzak, 26, and Alfaz, 41.
