Farm animals looted from shoal areas in Patuakhali, Noakhali

A correspondent from Patuakhali reported that members of outlawed Zia group on Sunday looted 11 cows and two tractors at Char Mijan under Bauphal upazila.

The outlaws attacked the villagers and looted the animals and tractors. As a result 11 villagers were injured, five of them seriously.

Seriously injured villagers are Nizam,38, Bishu,35, Kamal,48, Fazlul Haque, 50, and Abul, 45.

UNB from Noakhali reported that forest bandits looted 250 domestic animals and cash at south Char Clerk here early Tuesday.

Bandits of Bashar Majhi bahini snatched away 250 cows and buffaloes worth Tk 15 lakh from a farm. They also looted cash from several houses and manhandled women as they raised a hue and cry during robbery.

Local people said Bashar bahini criminals have been committing robbery and abducting people for ransom since long.

However, the police administration remains silent for reasons unknown.
