Tanker seized by police looted by miscreants
Miscreants on Monday night looted machinery and furniture from an oil tanker seized earlier by police on the Kirtonkhola river near Barisal city.
Police had seized the tanker-- MT Shelter -- on June 6, 2002 on charge of involvement in smuggling and anchored it at KTC ghat in the river. It was there since then.
On Sunday night, a storm drifted it to a shoal near Sajordi area of the city. It was looted on the following night there.
Police is now guarding the looted tanker but could not arrest any of the miscreants.
