Students ransack RMC teachers' rooms after failing in MBBS exam
Around 15 students equipped with lethal weapons and iron rods attacked the rooms of Prof Khalilur Rahman, Prof KP Sarkar and Prof Abdul Hannan in wards 2, 5 and 6 one after another at around 3 pm on Tuesday.
Panic gripped the hospital and many patients started running for safety as they broke open the doors and damaged furniture and valuables.
They also damaged some adjoining rooms, hospital staff and patients said.
Talking to The Daily Star, Prof Khalilur Rahman, chairman of surgery department, said 164 examinees appeared at the MBBS examination of 1997-98 session, held in January this year. Eighteen of them failed.
