JOBS provides training to BRAC jewelry workers

Initially the workers will be given a month-long training, which has already started, says a press release. Later, the training will be extended for two months more.
BRAC in collaboration with JOBS has set up a jewelry factory in Kishoreganj. Twenty female workers will be trained under this programme.
JOBS is providing the technology transfer skill development to these workers so that they can produce better imitation jewelry products like bangles and ear rings.
JOBS is also formulating a marketing strategy for the market promotion of the jewelry products.
JOBS is working as Business Development Service (BDS) provider to create sustainable wage based skilled workers in the Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) sector in Bangladesh.
