Khas land for Landless demanded

Their demands included distribution of government khas land among genuine landless people who are living in different shoal areas in the upazilas.

Demonstrations were held at Bauphal, Galachipa and Dashmina upazila headquarters. At Dashmina upazila, the demonstrators staged a demonstration in front of the Upazila Nirbahi Officer's (UNO) office. This was followed by a meeting addressed by leaders like Sultana Akhter Rubee, Samsun Nahar Doli, Altaf Hossain, Javed Iqbal Khan and Abdul Gani.

After the gathering they submitted a memo to Anwar Hossain, UNO of Dashmina.

Similar programmes were held at Galachipa and Bauphal upazilas.
