RU BCL protests 'false' graft case against Hasina

Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) yesterday brought out a procession and held a rally on Rajshahi University (RU) campus protesting filing of a "false" graft case against Awami League President Sheikh Hasina by the government.

BCL RU unit President Ibrahim Hossain Moon and General Secretary Ayenuddin led the procession.

Addressing the rally, the BCL leaders said the government was harassing AL leaders though filing "false cases".

It is proceeding with a blue print to liquidate the party by implicating popular AL leaders in false cases and killing them, they alleged.

They urged all leaders and activists of AL and its front organisations and pro-liberation forces to intensify the movement to oust the government.

BCL RU unit leaders also called upon the government to withdraw the graft case against Hasina and all other "false" cases against opposition leaders. Otherwise, BCL will launch a vigorous movement, they said.

The rally was also addressed by, among others, BCL central Assistant General Secretary Kamruzzman and its Rajshahi City President Abdul Momen and General Secretary Zedu Sarker.
