Alleged abductor freed from thana

This created tension in the area.

One Jaynal Abedin, 45, of Gupunathpur village was abducted by some miscreants while he was returning home on June 26.

His mother Abeda Khatun filed a case with Kasba thana accusing 11 people. Noor Muhammad was the main accused.

Police on June 2 arrested one of the accused--Fazlu Mia-- and confined him at the thana.

At around 8:30 pm on June 2, Kosba thana OC Gulam Muhammad freed him.

When contacted the OC said he released Fazlu Mian as he had high blood pressure and fell sick.

Addition SP Md Jahangir Hossain on contact said the OC told him that he released the arrested person on doctor's advice.
