338 killed in six months in 10 S-W dists

The figure includes 50 murders in Khulna city and 39 in Khulna district.

The victims are political leaders and activists, Union Parishad chairman, members, journalists and criminals.

According to information received from police department, 26 political murders were committed in 10 districts during the same period. The figure includes six murders in Khulna city.

Two senior journalists killed in the city during the period were Khulna correspondent of The New Age Manik Saha and editor of Dainik Janmabhumi Humayun Kabir Balu.

A total of 30 outlaws were lynched by mob and killed during the period. The figure includes 19 in Khulna city only.
