3 highwaymen arrested in Feni
Three highwaymen were caught by people and handed over to Feni police after a good beating in Fatahpur rail crossing area near the town on Saturday.
The arrested are Kamrul,26, son of Alal Hossain of Kasinathpur in Bera thana, Pabna, Sariful Islam, 25, son of Monir Hossain of Nagarbarigat in Sujanagar thana of the same district and Faruq of Nandanpur in Laxmipur Sadar.
The highwaymen were fleeing with booty after committing a bus dacoity in a Dhaka-bound passenger bus, according to police and local people. The passengers raised a hue and cry.
Hearing their cries, local people rushed there and caught three of them.
