30 hurt in B'baria clash

At least 30 people were injured, six of them critically, and four houses were damaged when two groups calshed at Sunarampur village in the Sadar upazila on Friday.

Seven of the injured were admitted to Brahmanbaria Sadar Hospital and the rest were released after first aid, hospital sources said.

Police said the two groups belonged to Nurul Islam and Abdur Rashid of the village, who are rivals for long.

The clash ensued from an altercation over bnatheing in a pond.

Those admitted to hospital include Abdur Kashid, Abbas Mia, Kamar Mia, Hanif Mia, Julekha Begum and Abu Sayed.
