Five unnatural deaths in a day in Satkhira

Police sources told this correspondent, Bimal Biswas, 28, son of Palash Biswas of Hadipur village in Debhata upazila was killed in a road accident on the Satkhira - Kaligonj Road at Hadipur.

Asif, 2, son of Paltu Gazi of Mahmudpur village in Sadar upazila drowned in a pond. Later, villagers recovered the body.

A 12-month-old child, Azmira Khatun and a daughter of Rafiqul Islam of Noapara village in Debhata upazila died of pneumonia at Shakhipur Health Complex.

Sharathi Rani, 50, wife of Haradhan of Chingri Khali village in Shyamnagar upazila committed suicide taking poison.

Sabina Khatun, 30, daughter of Mokbul Gazi of Tikarampur in Tala upazila also committed suicide by hanging herself.
