RAKUB to distribute Tk 55.17 cr agri loan

Under the programme, RAKUB will distribute agricultural loan amounting to Tk 55 crore 17 lakh among the affected farmers. Of the amount Tk 32 crore will be distributed for the purpose of aman cultivation.

District BNP President and former member of parliament (MP) from Domar-Dimla constituency Engineer Shahrin Islam Tuhin formally opened the loan distribution programme at a simple ceremony held at Haq Super Market in Domar upazila on Tuesday. ss

RAKUB Zonal Manager ATM Mostofa Kamal presided over the ceremony.

While addressing, Tuhin declared that the present government would provide all-out assistance to the farmers to overcome flood loss.

Among others, Domar Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Faruk Ahmed, local traders' representative Monsurul Islam Danu, Upazila BNP President Modabber Hossain Manu addressed.

At the same venue on the day, Domar Upazila BNP organised another programme where Engineer Tuhin distributed 250 rickshaws among unemployed youths. He also distributed a bundle of tin to 100 people each. The recipients are victims of a recent fire incident at Goshaiganj hut (market) in the upazila.
