'Indecent comments' about Hasina protested
Seven chairmen members of the law and order committee in Shaym-nagar upazila walked out of a meeting after indecent comments passed by a Jamaat lawmaker on Awami League chief Sheikh Hasina on Thursday.
Jamaat MP is Gazi Nazrul Islam passed the 'indecent comments' at a meeting presided over by Shyam-nagar Upazila UNO Solayman Mandal.
Despite demand for withdrawal of his comments, the Jamaat MP refused to withdraw it.
The protesting chairmen are Jaglul Haider (Shyamnagar), GM Shafiul Alam (Gabura), Bakhtiar Ahmed (Nurnagar), Asim Zoarder (Buri Goaline), G M Abdul Kader (Atulia ), Gazi Anisuzzaman (Kashimari) and Asim Kumar Mridah (Munshiganj).
