BNP MP, 4 others get 'death threat' from Bangla Bhai
Kushtia Jubo Dal Organising Secretary Abul Kalam Azad on Saturday received a letter in the name of Bangla Bhai that he and four top district BNP leaders including Reza Ahmed Bachhu Mollah MP would be "bombed to death" within a week.
Bangla Bhai is a clandestine so-called militant Islamic group blamed for violence including murder in some south-western districts including Kushtia.
Others named in the letter are Daulatpur BNP President Altaf Hossain, secretary Sahid Sarkar Mongal and Sahidul Islam.
Azad filed a general dairy (GD) with Daulatpur police.
When contacted the Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Daulatpur thana said they were trying to trace the source of the letter.
