3 ICS men brought back to Sylhet from Dhaka
They are Moazzem Hossain Sayem, Delwar Hossain and Maruf Rahman.
They were brought back to Sylhet on Friday.
About 24 persons including Chhatra League and Shibir activists were arrested in connection with Sylhet blast.
Ranjit Sarker, Joint Convenor of the city unit of Bangladesh Chhatra League and Iqbal Ahmed, Manager of Hotel Sufia (near August 7 blast spot) were also sent to jail hajat on Saturday. Ranjit was arrested for damaging vehicles during hartal hours on August 24, but he was 'falsely implicated' in grenade blast case, party sources alleged.
The CID (Criminal Investigation Department) sent them to the capital for five-day interrogation by joint interrogation cell on August 26.
They were produced before the magistrate court for hearing of a fresh remand prayer on Saturday. But, the court did not pass any order, because the case record did not reach Sylhet from Dhaka. Their remand prayer would now be heard on September 16.
Meanwhile, leaders of Sylhet district and city units of Chhatra League on Wednesday alleged police torture on Ranjit during interrogation.
