Slain newsman's mother dies from shock
Relatives said she died from shock after her son's alleged murder. Nabil was the only son of his parents.
Police had recovered Nabil's unidentified hacked body from a playground in Bamansur in Keraniganj upazila in Dhaka district on March 3 and kept it with Anjumane Mofidul Islam as none came to claim it.
After three days, police collected his identity from a cheque book of Janata Bank at Mogbazar in Dhaka and handed over the body to his father-in-law's family in Nawabganj in Dhaka for burial.
They buried the body at their family graveyard at Majharikanda village in Nawabganj on March 8.
Meanwhile, following allegations by Nabil's mother that her son was killed by men of his father-in-law's family, three persons were arrested. They gave confessional statements under Section 164, but the trial is still at primary stage.
Parents and relatives of Nabil have demanded proper probe into the alleged murder and burial of the body at their family graveyard at Tarakupi village in Gournadi.
The victim's relatives said Nabil's father Adul Latif, working in Italy, is maintaining contact with his family over phone almost every day and demanding that his son's body be buried at his family graveyard.
