Because of a quack

Firoza Begum,30, wife of Shamser Ali of Diuli village in Jhikargachha upazila was admitted to Navaran Palli Clinic with labour pain on September 1. Abdul Hamid, a callous quack and his untrained nurses handled her in a non-professional manner. At one stage of delivery they severed the head of the unborn baby keeping the body inside the womb of the woman. As her condition worsened fast due to profuse bleeding, the quack referred her to Uttara Private Hospital in Jessore town. Dying Firoza was operated upon and surgeons brought out the severed head of the baby from her womb. Firoza was improving, told Dr Shafiqul Islam of the hospital.
