Barguna lawyers boycott magistrate courts

Our Correspondent, Barisal
Barguna lawyers are boycotting magistrate courts protesting alleged inaction by the administration in taking steps for speedy disposal of cases.

A team from the Barguna District Bar Association met the Deputy Commissioner on Saturday and urged him to appoint a sufficient number of "qualified first class magistrates" in contingence courts for speedy disposal of cases. But the DC allegedly ignored them, sources alleged.

The Bar Association later held an emergency meeting and decided to boycott all magistrate courts.
