Work on Tk 3 cr modern museum starts at Barisal

The government sanctioned Tk 3 crore for its construction this fiscal.

The Public Works Department (PWD) is now renovating and repairing the building to set up the museum.

Barisal City Corporation (BCC) Mayor Mazibar Rahman Sarwar MP and State Ministe for Cultual Affairs Begum Selima Rahman expressed their firm determination to set up the museum within the stipulated time.

According to official sources, the 150-year-old Collectorate building was declared abandoned several years back.
