Jamalpur AL council ends in fiasco

Party sources said the council failed to elect the district committee of the party because of severe infighting.

The council was adjourned as the two contesting groups remained firm in their stand.

The present committee of the district AL was declared defunct earlier.

The date for the council was deferred 23 times earlier due to rivalry between the present JubO League Secretary Suruzzaman and its Treasurer A1 Amin Chan.

Repeated change in schedule of the council created a tense situation in the party.
