BATB stipends for brilliant students

Each of the students will get Tk 500 per month for two years.

The recipients are Subarna Akter of Bajeyapto Bhatora village, Yokub Ali of Shatya and Mohammad Motin of Chandir Char village in Manikganj sadar upazila. First installments of the stipends were handed over to the students at a simple function held at at the BATB compound at Jagir on Saturday.

BATB Manager at Manikganj Amanul Karim, its officials Mujibur Rahman and M Asaduzzaman, Jagir Union Parisad Chaiman Samsul Alam Khan and Parvez Mahmud from among the stipend recipients spoke at the function.

The BATB introduced such stipends last year and it will continue, its officials said.

In another function on the same venue on the day, BATB handed over materials for sanitary latrines to 65 of its registered farmers.
