Disabled Day observed in Manikganj

The procession was arranged as part of the International Day of the Disabled on Friday. Following the procession, a discussion was also held at the outer stadium.

District administration, Social Service department, Disabled Development Forum (DDF) and Manikganj Disabled People's Organisation for Development (MDPOD), two NGOs jointly organised the programme.

Among others, Manikganj Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ruksana Ferdaus, ADC (Gen) Samsul Alam, ADC (Rev) Kamrul Ahsan, MDPOD chairperson Syeda Akter Daisy, its director Entaz Ali, DDF director Masudul Haque and disabled person Sajahan Molla took part in the discussion.

A wheel chair was donated to a disable person.

The programme was followed by a cultural function and an art competition where disabled children participated.
