Output comes to a halt at Joypurhat Sugar Mills

A major mechanical fault was the reason behind the incident.

The mills went into production on December 3 in the ongoing crushing season. The crushing roller of the mills suddenly went out of order soon after its operation for 20 hours. The production remained suspended for the next 48 hours.

After its repair the mills again went into production from Monday morning. But its production ceased further on Tuesday due to mechanical fault in shaft bearing of the crushing unit.
