Premarital blood test can prevent AIDS

They collected 84 bags of blood from students and also organised a discussion meeting as part of a programme to create awareness about AIDS.

Prof Zahid Hassan Milky, Kudrotusshama, RU Students Advisor; Program Assistant of Centre for Communication and Development (CCD), an NGO; BASA Convener in Rajshahi A M Raihan and its Joint Convener Rebeka Sultana spoke at the meeting.

Earlier, a procession was brought out on the campus.

The CCD with cooperation of the National AIDS/STD Program (NASP) and UNICEF also organised an orientation programme on 'pre-marital blood test' on the premises of Rajshahi Madarbux Home Economics College to prevent AIDA.

Principal of the college, Salma Rahman, attended the function as chief guest.
