Fake fertiliser factory detected at Satkhira

During the raid, they also recovered a sewing machine used to make gunny bags for packing adulterated fertiliser.

Earlier on the day, BDR had seized 20 bags of spurious phosphate fertiliser from Binerpota area in the Sadar upazila.

Acting on his statement, a Task Force team comprising BDR and police led by Magistrate Mina Masuduzzaman, raided the godown of Rabi Enterprise in front of Satkhira Day and Night College in Sultanpur in the town.

They recovered 75 bags of fake TSP, 20 bags of fake Potash fertiliser along with several hundreds empty bags with seals.

Rabiul Islam, owner of the so-called factory, escaped.

Sadar thana OC Abdul Kader Beg confirming the incident said. A case has been lodged and we are trying to nab the culprits, he said.
