Israel to set up 5 chemical plants in India
The five fully equipped chemical plants to be built over 24 months will be located in Bihar and will develop explosives, the reports said.
IMI beat companies from Europe and the US to win the tender in which it will be the chief contractor supervising two subcontractors Israel's Bateman Engineering and India's Nicco Corp, reports said.
The plants will operate on the pattern of IMI's chemical plants in Ramat Hasharon in Israel, which serve the company's munitions plants.
The leading Israeli defence industry's munitions complex has already set up an administration to manage the Indian project.
