Fire at Zia Fertiliser stops production

The fire that lasted for half an hour damaged the factory's Amonia plant. It originated from a leakage of the gas pipeline and burnt the plant's coil.

The fire extinguished when the factory engineers cut off the connections of the plant.

Being informed, fire fighters from Bhairab and Ashuganj rushed to the spot and fought half an hour, according to the Station Officer of Fire Service and Civil Defence here, Md Mubarak Ali. It is strange that all the staff of Brahmanbaria Fire Brigade went out of station during the incident, according to Mubarak Ali.

However, the loss is yet to be estimated.
