Barbed-wire fencing bid by BSF again
As BSF was trying to raise barbed wire fence in the morning, local people informed BDR, who objected. But BSF ignored.
As BDR resisted, tension mounted and people in five bordering villages felt homes for safety.
Later, at around 1 pm, a flag meeting was held near border pillar 2034, where BSF agreed not to raise barbed wire fence on the no man's land.
BDR Battalion Commander Col. KA Nesar BFS Commander SK Magur led their respective sides.
Wednesday's attempt was the sixth by BSF in 15 days to raise barbed wire fence on the no man's land from Koshba to Balla border area, BDR sources said.
