Thai investors eye Bangladesh, says envoy
The Thai envoy told this at a meeting with the Chittagong Chamber presidium members during a visit to Chittagong International Trade Fair.
He also informed that initiatives are being taken to make Thai visa issuing process easier to facilitate Bangladeshi businessmen, tourists and others who want to visit Thailand for treatment purpose. He said the visa will be available for critical patients as soon as they arrive at the airport.
Suphat Chitranukroh assured duty-free access of more Bangla-deshi goods to Thai market. Earlier, Chittagong Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) President Saifuzzaman Chowdhury Javed, in his address of welcome, told a business delegation from Chittagong Chamber would visit Thailand and sign a Memorandum of Under-standing with Chiangmai Chamber for boosting bilateral trade between the two countries in May. Among others, CCCI Senor Vice-President SM Nurul Haq, Vice-President MA Latif and director Syed Jamal Ahmed spoke.
