Doctor hurt as OT light falls on head

Injured Dr Amanulla was whisked away for treatment after the 'dish' in which six bulbs were fixed fell on his head. He was operating upon Babul, 28. The operation was later completed by Dr. Moinuddin Ahmad Chowdhury of Orthopaedic Department at the hospital.

Condition of Dr. Amanullah and his patient Babul is now good, the sources said.

This was the second such incident in three months, sources at the hospital said.

When contacted, Civil Surgeon Md Ishak said the light fell as the contractor did not fix it properly.
