AL leader held with pistol

Soon after his arrest, Satkhira district AL president Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and general secretary Nazrul Islam in a statement claimed that arrest of popular leader Mashiur Rahman was part of a conspiracy by some vested quarters in the area to tarnish the image of the party. They demanded his immediate arrest.

They said the conspiracy behind the arrest will come out if the incident is probed.
