PM's portrait damaged by madrasa teacher
A portrait of the Prime Minister (PM) was allegedly damaged by the principal of Pakerhat Kamil Madrasa in Khanshama upazila on Thursday, according to police and local people.
Police told this correspondent, two factions of the madrasa governing body had an altercation over hanging of PM's portrait inside the principal's room. At this stage, the principal damaged the PM's portrait.
Being informed, Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) and police visited the spot. Police took away the damaged portrait to the police station. Police forces have been deployed to avert any untoward incident.
A case was filed against the principal and five madrasa teachers.
