Youth killed after abduction in Tangail

Abul Kalam Azad, 22, son of Habibul Alam of Bilmuril village in the same upazila was abducted from Baghil Bazaar by a gang of outlaws numbering five at around 3:00 pm, police said. They took the victim to nearby Sapua village at gunpoint where they slaughtered him with a sharp weapon.

Being informed, Sadar police rushed to the spot, recovered the body and sent it to Tangail General Hospital for autopsy.

Police arrested Akteruzzaman Titu, 24, of Bibmuril village and Mazedur Rahman, 30, of Moisher Char village.

The reason of the killing is yet to be known.
