Children's painting contest marking Bhasani's birthday

Maulana Bhasani Foundation in Tangail arranged a children's painting contest yesterday to mark the 125th birth anniversary of the veteran leader.. PHOTO: STAR

Organised by Maulana Bhasani Foundation, the function was presided by president of the organisation Khondker Nazim Uddin.

This was followed by a discussion on life and works of Bhasani.

Discussants called upon the government to observe the birth anniversary of Maulana Bhasani at national level.

Speakers stressed on making children aware about life and activities of the great leader.

Educationist and journalist Mirza Abdul Momen opened the function while it was attended by Tangail Additional Deputy Commissioner (Education and Development) Abdul Mannan as chief guest.
