A young member of the suicide squad of banned Jama'atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) on Tuesday told police that he received death threat from the outfit's high command for disobeying an order to attack the Victory Day programme venue.

Police sources said the youth hailing from Moddhya Haroa village under Nilphamari Pourasabha was asked by JMB high command to blast bombs at Nilphamari stadium on Friday. But instead of doing so he took shelter at the house of a Pourasabha commissioner.

Police arrested him at night but did not disclose his identity for the sake of ‘greater interest of the ongoing drive against JMB'.
