Bus accident kills 2 in Bakerganj
Two persons were killed and 25 injured when a Kuakata bound bus fell into a roadside ditch on Friday night in Dadurhut area under Bakerganj upazila of Barisal district.
Witnesses said, the bus carrying about 40 passengers skidded off the Barisal-Patuakhali Highway as the driver lost control over the steering at about 8-30 pm.
Two pedestrians, Abul Hossain, 45, and a girl aged about 13, died on the spot while 25 bus passengers received injuries.
Eleven of the injured passengers were rushed to Barisal Sher-e-Bangla Medical College Hospital and Patuakhali General Hospital.
