Hearing for charge framing deferred again

Judge M A Matin of Barisal Divisional Speedy Trial Tribunal fixed February 5 for the hearing.

The hearing is being deferred as accused JMB (Jamaatul Mujahideen, Bangladesh) activists Molla Omar, Amzad, Awal and Ataur Rahman Sani, younger brother of JMB chief Sheikh Abdur Rahman, could not be produced before the court.

Out of the eight chargesheeted accused, Awal and Sani are in custody in Dhaka. Sheikh Abdur Rahman, JMJB (Jagrata Muslim Janata, Bangladesh) chief Siddiquer Rahman Bangla Bhai, Molla Omar and Amzad are absconding.

Two other accused--Mamun and Sultannow in Barisal jail, were produced before the court under tight security.
