Aftab's photo exhibition on Liberation War ends

A three-day photo exhibition displaying works of noted photo-journalist Aftab Ahmed drew a large number of visitors at Rangpur Town Hall ground.

Sound Touch, a cultural body organised the exhibition with Aftab's famous photos on the country's liberation war.

"It is the month of our independence. So, I thought the photos would inspire the people of Rangpur. About 100 of my photos including some rare ones have been put on display," Aftab said on the concluding day yesterday.

Aftab Ahmed is the chief photographer of The Daily Ittefaq. He earned name and fame at home and abroad for his outstanding achievement in photo journalism. The Bangladesh Government honoured him with Ekushey Padok.

Aftab Ahmed was born in 1934 at Lakhmitari of Mohipur union under Gangachara upazila in Rangpur.

Several socio-cultural organisations of Rangpur gave receptions to the elderly photographer during last three days.
